With the help of Amy’s friends and family, we can now present the Our Day Will Come: Amy Winehouse Tribute that captures Amy’s career in it’s true essence…

WORLDWIDE RELEASE OF DUET “BODY AND SOUL” & Amy Winehouse Foundation Launch

“Body and Soul”, recorded by Amy Winehouse and Tony Bennett on March 23, 2011 at Abbey Road Studios in London, is released in its entirety today to commemorate what would have been Amy’s 28th birthday. “Body and Soul”, became the final recording Amy ever made before her passing on July 23rd of this year.

The track is available to purchase on iTunes HERE with all proceeds going to the Amy Winehouse Foundation, also launched today. The video can be viewed on VEVO below.

Tony Bennett commented, “We had a beautiful time recording together in the studio and I knew that Amy was very happy with how she performed that day. I thought she was absolutely brilliant and this recording truly captures the essence of her unique artistry. She was a rare talent.”

The Amy Winehouse Foundation, set up by Amy’s family and friends will stand alongside Amy’s music as her legacy. The Winehouse Family have created this charitable body in Amy’s name to benefit young people in the UK and around the world.

Since her untimely death on July 23rd this year, there has been an international outpouring of love and goodwill to Amy’s family and friends. Many of Amy’s fans and well wishers have contacted the family to ask if there is a way that they can help. Amy loved children and the family wants the foundation to support causes that would have been close to Amy’s heart.

The Foundation will raise money to support projects and charities that need help for specific causes.

One of the first major donations to the Foundation will come from sales of Body & Soul.

Amy’s Final Recording and Video To be Released

Amy’s Final Recording and Video To be Released this Wednesday 14th September

Amy’s final recording, a duet with her hero Tony Bennett titled “Body and Soul”, will be released by Columbia Records this Wednesday 14th September. This special recording is released at 8am GMT on what would have been Amy’s 28th birthday, in aid of the Amy Winehouse Foundation. The song was recorded in March of this year at Abbey Road Studios in London for Tony Bennett’s upcoming Duets II album. An accompanying video of the two singing “Body and Soul” together in the studio will also be premiered via amywinehouse.com and Vevo.

The Foundation will be set up by her family to help a number of charities connected with children and young people.

Amy’s father Mitch said, “We wanted to make a positive difference and help a range of causes close to Amy’s heart. This could include help for children in trouble, suffering from health problems, children’s hospices and more.”

“While it is separate from my campaign to find more help for young addicts, that may be one of the areas that Foundation contributes to. We intend to raise funds and distribute them to individual projects who apply for help. I couldn’t be happier that everyone involved with Amy and this recording felt they wanted to contribute.”

“Amy was so excited to be working with Tony Bennett and really looking forward to her fans hearing this new recording. The fact that Amy‘s voice is sounding as amazing and beautiful as ever and she is singing with the great Tony Bennett seems the most fitting tribute of all at this very difficult time.”
